About me

Hello!

I’m ever the optimist. So much so that I am always running late and tend to have the delusional dream of my life turning out the exact way I want it too, although this has never actually been the case.

I have found that I live in my head a lot and have mostly dreamt my life away, especially when my life hasn’t been going the way I wanted. Daydreams are free, and they always have the happy ending you are looking for……

I love music, I can get lost in the lyrics, the rhythm and the beat. I love that music can transcend time and space, I love how it transports you back to a certain time and place in your life. I love art, painting (although I’m not the greatest) calms my soul and feels healing to my body. I love the feeling art can evoke. I love health in every facet of the term. I love how the human body works and the intricate systems and processes that make up our incredible bodies. I love wellness; mind, body and spirit that is in alignment is in wellness, total wellness.  And I love being submerged in nature. I yearn to travel the globe, discover new places and cultures and I am very spiritual. I believe there is more than what is seen and that we are all divine beings doing the best we can.

So why start a blog?

Why not!? I feel I have a lot to say, I feel I have experiences worth talking about, and I feel my opinions and knowledge is worth spreading to all those who care to listen.

I was born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand) on the beautiful and lush West Coast. Growing up in a rural environment gave me a great respect for mother nature and being surround by giant trees and small ferns is what calms my mind and frees my soul.

Yet I always felt like I was too big for the small town I had grown up in, so at the age of 20 I packed up my things and migrated to Australia, and this is where I have been ever since. Although I have never felt like I was home and have never felt like I truly belonged anywhere.

I have learnt many hard lessons during my decade living in a new country and city. I have grown into a more confident and compassionate person through my own life experiences (some of which I shall be sharing in here) that have all shaped and sculptured me into the woman I am today.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my words and to read my stories. Your support is truly appreciated.

Love SA xx
